PORTRAITS DE VILLES

CHARLES VILLENEUVE

Charles Villeneuve (Nantes, 1971) learned his craft as a carpenter at a young age, going on to focus on creating furniture, decoration and indoor architecture. Before he became an architect he graduated from École Boulle and was awarded the Grand Prix d’Architecture de l’Académie des Beaux-Arts in 1997.

In 2000, he was the resident artist at the Casa de Velázquez (the French Academy in Madrid), subsequently deciding to settle permanently in Spain.

As a long-time sketcher and traveler, Charles now lives and works in Madrid where he divides his time between architecture, design and painting.
